Fort Morgan is a historic site at the end of the Fort Morgan Peninsula. Fort Morgan was preceded by another fort,�Fort Bowyer�during the War of 1812. There is plenty of activities at Fort Morgan, such as visiting the nature areas, launching a boat or just relaxing at the beach.

Gulf State Park Pier

This pier is a must see when visiting Gulf Shores. It is Alabama’s only public pier on the Gulf and it is the second longest pier. The pier is over 1,500 feet long and 20 feet wide and has over 2,000 fee of space for fishing. On any given day you will see fishermen & women of all ages catching and cleaning an assortment of fish. If you are lucky, like my husband, you may see a manatee.
